Everything' s turning to white.

I have never seen snow before. It is the first time in my life to see the falling snow. I am very excited. Current outside temperature is 30 F.(-1 C) Snow is the form of ice crystal precipitation whereas rain is the liquid form. Because the pathway is quite slippy, I have to walk carefully to avoid the accident.

Thanksgiving

Yesterday, It's thanksgiving day which is the fourth Thursday of November is US. It is time to thanks for harvesting product and indicates the end of harvest season. The winter is coming soon. Most people come home, cook and eat together. Like Thailand, we come home to meet our family in the Songkarn festival. But the foreigners think it is time for splashing water to relieve the heat in summer. I took this picture on my way to home. There are very few cars. It looks like Bangkok during long weekend. Actually, there are lots of cars but I have never seen a traffic jam here.

What happened?

It is the first time in Thai history even the world history. The airport is occupied by thousands of people. The Suvannabhumi international airport is seized by PAD.(People's Alliance for Democracy) for creating the strong pressure to Thai Prime Minister-Mr.Somchai Wongsawat,who is brother-in-law of ousted Thaksin. They want him to quit the position but, he say he decided not to resign or dissolve the parliament. What happen to Thailand after this? Will the coup d'état occur again? Will Thailand turn to anarchy? Will the government use the strict policy to control the protestors? Will Bangkok changes into bloody site? I hope that both the government and demonstrators seek a way to stop the political crisis together.

Birds

On my way to university in the morning, I saw a flock of birds. There are about 10-15 birds . I think they are gulls but I' m not sure which species they are. This is the third time that I spotted them. It is quite strange that they are found in this area. They may avoid the cold weather on the shoreline or somewhere else. If I misunderstand this issue or anyone knows the fact, please let me know.

At the same place

I take this picture at the same place. Last month, trees were full of various color. Currently, trees loss their leaves completely. This is the indication that the winter is coming soon. Trees lose their leaves to protect themselves during the winter months. I have never seen this condition before. It is first time in my life.

PET/CT

Last month, I saw a mobile PET/CT service trailer which was parked around the emergency room(ER). I don't know what the objective is. It is used for a diagnosis for some conditions. As far as I know, There are only about 5 PET/CTs in Thailand. We have no mobile CT or PET-CT service. We have only mobile X-ray(chest X-ray) vehicle. Anyway, health care system here spends too much money. Physicians check and investigate everything to assist and confirm a diagnosis. The crucial reason is the prevention from being sued. I think it is better if they should spend more time touching and talking to patient for creating the good relationship between them and patient including family. In addition to, they can get a lot of information and background history which guide to diagnose. When the patient and family understand and aware his/her condition clearly and know how the treatment process step by step. They should have a less tendency to charge.

Changing colors

At the end of last month, I took this picture in front of hospital while waiting for shuttle bus. It represented the fall season clearly. In my view, I think it was so beautiful that the maple trees show various colors from green to brown before sunset. They also look like the painting by famous artist. Everything around us is very interesting if you spend a little time to see.

Ducks

Last weekend on my way home from university, I saw a group of ducks. I don't know what kind of duck these are. If anyone know, could you please tell me? I met them for the second time. The first time, I was not able to take any photos because they were very far from me and it was getting dark. I thought they were looking for some food. But, I looked around for any living creatures around there and couldn't find anything as well . They may eat grass for the main course. I spotted one of them had a number tag around its neck. I think someone or some laboratories may possess. They are fed for research. I don't have any idea. If anyone know the objective, please let me know.
